Parts I've picked out: well i've only ended up coming up with a CPU i guess right now as i'm not too knowledgeable about videocards, soooo....

Intel core i7 920

picked this case, because i thought it was cool

I wanted to have an HDMI port also, so for that I would need to have a motherboard that has one, right? and then also for that HDMI, do I have to look for a videocard that can support HDMI?

well, for the motherboard and the videocard, i'd love to have suggestions from you guys, because I don't know which cards are good and which are not, and what is the best for the price, etc.

well, i guess this is a start... any opinions?

ohiograd! ominous prime!

WE HAVE DONE IT GUYS!!!!!!!1

just got the 500 gb drive, hooked it up, and windows 7 listed it right away and it's installing now!

i feel like you guys are my brothers now. like we've been through battle together! the guys that helped me finally finish my first computer... i won't forget you guys!

now i just need to decide what to do with the 1 tb drive. i think i'll just try to get my money back because i don't think i'm going to need two drives.

sooooooo happy :)

Lol, enjoy the new rig man. Glad it's running. You can always try to get your money back, if you ever need more storage you should be able to add other drives as secondary drives to the rig. But 500gb should last a while. Let us know how you like it once it's running.

Glad it's all working now man, shame the mobo didn't play nice with the 1tb as the boot drive.

We'll be here for your next build, but I doubt you'll need us.

I'd probably keep the 1tb for storage, but I'm a pack rat.
