My fps is suddenly low

Hello, i recently had to reformat my laptop because it got infected with some bug that caused my chrome to crash every single time. so i actually went to a repair shop to reformat it. my laptop works fine now but whenever im playing a game called League Of Legends, my ping is inconsistent. it used to run around 60 fps but now it just keeps on dropping from 40 - 54 fps. does anybody know why this happened or how to correct it? im using an alienware m14x with a corei7 processor, 8 gig ram and an NVIDIA GeForce 555 M graphic card

Did you update to the latest video card drivers? Did you turn the settings higher than they were before?

Also when you say ping that doesn't mean your FPS, that's your latency to their servers.

sorry about that, what i meant to say was my fps and not my ping. i didnt change anything though. i just plugged in my charger as usual, at first my fps would remain constant but after a few minutes it would drop down and up inconsistently.
