Hey guys, im new to the forum and would like to pose a question. im having trouble with my FX505_DV Laptop.

Whenever I'm offline, i can run high end game s(AC Valhalla) with some very nice graphical power and get about 60-70 fps. But if i try anything online (Valorant, War thunder .etc) it can get as low as 16 fps. this occurs even when i run AC Valhalla when im connected to the internet. i would love some feedback so i can try and get my online experience up to scratch. thx

(if you need to know what device im on): https://www.asus.com/laptops/for-gaming/tuf-gaming/asus-tuf-gaming-fx505dv/

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

The Asus/device link took me to some sort of "promotions" link and I immediately exited thereafter.

How are you connecting to the internet: ISP, modem, router, etc.?

First you should never play online games on wifi it is subject to interference from your neighbors wifi usage.

Try to test this on ethernet before you waste time trying to fix the wrong issue.

You can't really compare a single player game that only requires network to avoid game piracy and one where the game content is running on a server and your machine is displaying the results.

You are going to have to be much more clear about why you think the frame rate is dropping. The actual video images do not go over the network connection. If there is some kind of issue talking to the main server you might get lag and stalls in your game play but the actual images are being delivered between the video card and the monitor at the same rate.

Now there could be some issue in the game code that is some how affecting frame rate when there is a network issue but again the actual video images are not being sent over the network they are all being generated on your pc based on the data it receives from the network.
