My FX6300(OC'ed to 4.6Ghz) is idling at 42 degrees celcius, is it acceptable?

The max temp it reaches while playing games is about 60ºC. Is this normal for this cpu? Is it at least acceptable?

I wouldn't like to Prime95 it since I'm almost sure it will BSOD on me. I usually play my games for an hour at a time at most, normally not even that.

Idling at 37-38, it's not overclocked as it's a non-K CPU. The airflow in my case is mediocre actually.
My advice - component temps under 70 are actually "cool" for most PC components (excluding HDD i guess), and under 80 may be considered "warm". So you should worry only if your temps go above 80 and up.
It's more than acceptable actually, don't worry about it. My intel i5 (and intel CPU are cooler) can go 65-70 while playing Lineage II with a couple of game-windows loaded (it's a CPU-intense MMO), and it's been doing okay for more than 3 years now.

What temp does it idle at? Is it overclocked?
