[SOLVED] My gaming pc keeps lagging

Can someone please help me find out why my pc keeps getting major frame drops. I am able to plays most games on high and get 60+fps but i always drop to 15 or less fps for a few seconds. Please tell me whats making my pc lag and what I should upgrade/upgrade to. Tell me if something is being bottlenecked. Thx

Msi A320M-PRO-VH-PLUS motherboard
400w psu
1tb hdd

There are two things to check firstly on this system.

What is the make and model of that PSU? If it is a low end one, it might not actually be giving enough power for the system.

Is it 1 or 2 sticks of RAM?

Is XMP enabled in the BIOS? If not, enable it to get the RAM running at full speed. It will be under overclocking, check the motherboard manual for help.

What games are you playing, and at what resolution and graphics preset?
