my gaming rig for 2014

im planning to build this gaming rig for 2014 and i hope i can assemble them before 2014 ends. =) here are the components.

mobo- rog maximus v formula z
cpu- fx 8350
cooler- cm hyper 212 evo
memory- g.skill ripjaws 2x4gb
hdd-wd caviar blue 1tb
gpu- palit gtx 770 jetstream
psu-SeaSonic S12II 620 Bronze
case- cm storm trooper
optical drive-asus dvdrw
monitor-24 inch any brand.

i need your inputs, comments and suggestions on how to improve this rig. thanks!

that is not a very good plan imo. for example, if you buy the 290x at $500 now, it will be aorund $400 or maybe $350 by the time christmas rolls around. it is always better to buy tech when you need it as prices are always falling

i see. makes sense here's my other gaming build. its either the first one or this depending on the cash flow.😀

I like your first build much better.

keep in mind that both the CPU and GPU will see a generational upgrade (expected within first half of this year). with that, they might be a new motherboard as well

yeah. i like the first build as well and i think it will last for a couple of years before upgrading the parts again.
