Question My GPU is having issues with one game only and I cannot figure it out.

I have an MSI NVIDIA RTX 4070 it runs all games really well except for one. I get frame rate loss and stuttering in Hunt showdown, I've had this issue for months. I have reinstalled the drivers for the gpu and even lowered my graphics. I should not be hitting 70- 80 fps on hunt with a 4070 rtx. I also close any background apps always. I used to run this game at 120+ fps on ULTRA settings, now i can barely run it on HIGH. I do not use vsync, never have. i run the game on high with 2k res. I've checked my temperatures in game and they are normal both for cpu and gpu.

which cpu?

any throttling like power limit or temp limit while gaming?
have a look at cpu-z and afterburner

Just shooting some ideas your way.

What GPU driver version were you running when the game did work fine.

How full is your hard drive / SSD.

Was there a game update that was installed that could be the issue or an update that needs to be put on to fix the issue.

Do you have a wireless mouse and keyboard. Change the batteries.

Have you checked the integrity of the game files.

not sure on the driver ver. hd is 8gb of 1.8tb. no updates available currently. no on both. have verified game files.
