Question My graphics card doesn't turn on when I restart my PC can anyone help?

Whenever I restart my pc the graphics card doesn't turn on and i have to use the integrated gpu to see the screen. It only works again if I shutdown the pc, plug the displayport cable back into my gpu, then turn on my pc. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions to what could be going wrong and how I could fix it?

Might check the BIOS for graphics prioritization. Integrated vs PCIe/PEG is the common naming.

System details would help.
