My Graphics card will not allow any signal to my monitor when installed either from the integrated graphics or the card it self. I tried uninstalling onboard graphics and re-installing the card, I tried running the OC guru disk drivers that came with the card then restarting with the card back in the machine but still no signal. I also bought a 500watt power supply to accommodate the card and made sure I was grounded before touching anything on my system, I'm trying to connect the two with a DVI cable and did resort to trying an HDMI cable, so I really am at a loss. My computer is some piece from Costco here.

I'm new to PC gaming and was dumb enough to think I could make this Video card work in the PC posted above.

I am starting to think ether my PC is simply to shit, or my video card is defective. Although I did hear that any AMD GPU can work with any AMD motherboard as long as it has a PCIEx16 port which mine does, If anyone could help and explain exactly what I'm doing wrong or tell me if I was given false information I would be very thankful. Oh and I also tried to clean my Ram sticks and saw no real difference.

I would make sure your on-board video is disabled. Most motherboards will auto-detect a PCI-E card and use it as default, but some don't. Just connect your monitor back to the on-board video VGA or DVI connection (not the video card), and go into your BIOS and disable on-board video, or choose the PCI-E card.

I went into my bios and all PCIE 16 slots where enabled I also made sure that all cables where firmly connected to the video card and the monitor. I tried to see if running the DVI cable to the onboard graphics worked ether but it still just makes my monitor none responsive. When I went into my bios I was unable to find anything that said "onboard graphics" or "O.G" or anything, so if it goes by more than one name in advanced settings of my bios please shoot a link or summary. I'm still open to more suggestions if anyone has an idea why this is happening though. :ange:

I made sure all of my slot were enabled, but was unable to find onboard graphics when I was in my bios advanced settings. is there another name for onboard graphics when in bios of a windows 10 system? Also I have a message from the driver of the card that ses "Please confirm whether to support this VGA card!" I went to GIGABYTE OC GURU's website but found no help. I'm pretty sure that it's just because the card isn't in the system but I thought I should be as descriptive as possible.

Honestly I'm just going to return it and get a different card cause it does the same thing in my friends computer and his is nice so ya, Thanks for trying but i just heard this happens more often than the manufacturers would like to admit and i have a warranty so lets just hope you don't see me again. 😉

Well i got a new card but it does the same thing in my system. So it has to be something with my motherboard i guess?

I'm really thinking there has to be a PCI-E setting that has to be changed. I feel like your PSU should be OK, even if it's on the cheap end. My father in law has the 370 and a 500W PSU and it runs the card with no problems.

What's the exact Model Number of your HP? I'll see if I can find specific information about the mobo in it.
