My gtx 1060 is not working

So i got my new gtx 1060 today and i installed it but when i turned my pc on it made a beep screen froze on the start up screen then after about ten seconds it will make another beep then two short beeps and idk what is the problem

I have a pegatron motherboard 2ac2
16 gb ram
Intel core I7-2600 cpu 3.40ghz

Buddy, you need to flash your BIOS. Update it to latest version. That will fix the problem IMO.

That motherboard is an oem board and very restricted and wont run uefi gpus. Uefi bios gpus began since 7xx series Geforce. You'll need to see if there are bios updates available for that board. Most likely not. Custom motherboards with legacy bios still support uefi gpus, brands such as Asus, Msi, Asrock and Gigabyte.

Is your PC HP branded? HP used those boards, think Dell might have as well.

I cant find a site directing to Pegatron so if it's a branded PC such as HP or Dell then youll go through their site for firmware bios updates if available.

If ever buying a PC and plan to upgrade parts in future don't buy oem.
