My hard drive has been making extremely weird noises since i bought it.

its been 3 months since i got the hard drive and the noise is still there. I have a 550w power supply a gtx 970 gpu i5 4690 and the motherboard, msi h97 pc mate wich has 2 sata ports i've tried using the both cables that came with the motherboard both make the same noise. When i was installing the hard drive i remember i touched the green part quite a bit if you need more information just ask in the comments and i'll answer it as fast as i can. Anything is grate, Thank you

All hard drives make noise now if it was an ssd i be worried,if you could record the sound and post it somewhere i can tell you if it is normal and post a link.

Loud HDs are usually a sign of failure sooner rather than later. They do make noise however so it could be normal. Like techguy911 said, record the sound and post a link to it.

Could you describe the noise or record it as the other guys suggested? Is it a grinding one? Is this an OS or secondary drive?

My suggestion would be to back up the data until you sort this out.

Well, that's not a good sign. Back up the data stored on it ASAP.
If the drive is under warranty, you can just RMA it.

voice number 3 happens rarely and when it happens its on startup
voice number 4 happens very often and happens when its doing stuff


EDIT: its not under warranty, are you guys 100% sure that this is not possibly happening because of the computer not enough energy or something?
