My HDD was really slow on startup, it was a software problem. when I tried to install a new copy of windows 7 64 bit the installation couldn't format or copy any files to the drive. so I got the drive our of the case, connected it via USB to a laptop, got all the important data then I used a software called AOMEI partition assistant and wiped the hard drive. it told me that wiping the drive will remove all partitions and all data by writing zeroes to it and I clicked ok.
I got back to it 5 hours later and it was finished, and I got the message "hard drive wiping completed successfully" I clicked ok and the drive just disappeared from the AOMEI, it is not visible in disk management, any third party software, or even bios. and certainly not in the windows installation disk.
I have read that maybe I removed the manufacturers files in the wiping process and if so, where can I get these? and how to use them?
it is a WD10EVDS - 63U8B0 serial number WCAV5A691541. 1 TB green colored HDD.
I hope I have covered every detail and please I need help ASAP. thanks.

UPDATE: I have used Active@ partition recovery and it can see the disk. when I try to partition it is says : please select a partition style to be applied MBR or GPT. which one should I pick?

Solution
I would suggest GPT.

Perhaps this is a sign that you need to acquire a SSD for your operating system. Best upgrade I've ever made, biggest single performance increase possible for modern computers. Its like moving from dialup internet, to broadband.

I can't stand using computers without a SSD, they are so unresponsive.
Hey there, MarwanMero!

I'm truly sorry to hear about your issues with the WD drive. 🙁 I'd suggest you to try connecting it to a different computer and using a different SATA cable to see if it will get recognized somewhere. I'd strongly recommend you removing the serial number of the HDD from your opening post as that information should be confidential.
If you manage to get it recognized on a different system, I'd recommend running WD's Data LifeGuard Diagnostics to check the health and SMART status. Just make sure you run the QUICK and EXTENDED tests: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=PNS31e

However, the model of your HDD is WD AV-GP which is not really recommended for PC storage, let alone booting from it. These drives are designed for streaming digital audio/video environments such as PVR, DVR, surveillance systems, etc. delivering 24/7 reliability. Unfortunately, the low power consumption of these HDDs wouldn't allow you to boot from it any faster as well. You can check all the available downloads for that model here, though: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=zPm3JD

I'd recommend you to check the WD Blue and WD Black drives instead as their 7200 RPM would deliver you the proper booting, faster transfer rate & performance. You can take a look at all our desktop hard drive solutions here: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=B8Vjv8

EDIT: Use the MBR partition table, since the drive is only 1 TB. Here's a helpful tutorial from our kb: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=pHtQwE

Hope I was helpful. Let me know if you have more questions! :)
