Hello!

I updated to Win11,

My speakers are plugged in to the jack port of the front of my pc, my headset is plugged in to the jack port of the back of my pc, instead of recognising them as two seperate output devices like "Speakers" and "Headset", they both are the same output device ( Realtek(R) Audio), and when i play sound it comes from both at the same time.
After searching for hours, i couldn't find any information about how to solve this.
I tried using Realtek Audio Console to seperate them, but with no luck.

Could anyone help me out? Is there maybe a third party software that could bypass this?

Thank you in advance!

do you want them to play different sound are what are the issue?
I would like to select them indepentent of each other, clicking on the speaker icon on the bottom right, i want to be able to select either my speakers, or my headset seperately like i could in previous windows versions.
Windows 11 merged my front and back jack ports together into one output device, so when i play music the sound comes from both of devices at the same time.

I think the way you can do that is if you change to 5.1 or 7.1 config.
check the Realtek tool
I can't find a setting for that, what i am thinking to try is to buy a 3,5mm jack to HDMI converter, hoping that would be recognised as a seperate device.

Do you see a small downward pointing ">" to the right of the listed "Speakers"? There may be other devices listed.

Likewise if you right click the small speaker icon you can also select "Sound Settings" for Output options.

There are additional audio settings within Accessibility > Audio.

The built in Windows troubleshooters may find and fix something.

Lastly, before you purchase anything: check TR, TRS, TRRS (Tip, Ring, Sleeve) - mismatches cause problems.
