[SOLVED] My HP laptop power ON only when battery removed

Hi,

My HP elitebook 8470p is not getting powered ON but If I disconnect the battery and boot it with just power cord, it boots & works fine.

I tested the battery on another Laptop (exact model) and it works fine. I tried other Laptop's battery on my laptop then my laptop doesn't power ON.

Could anyone please advise me on how to fix this issue and get it ON with battery connected?

The power section on the motherbd has an issue. You'll need to service or replace the motherboard.
