My i5 4670k won't OC more than 3.8GHz (?). Worst unit ever or doing something wrong?

Hello dear community

My current setup is

Intel Core i5-4670K
MSI Z87-G43 BIOS ver: 1B0
GeForce GTX 970
XFX XXX Edition Pro 650W
Cooler: Thermalright Macho Rev. B
16gb of ddr3 1600mhz RAM
Windows 10 all updated

I tried overclocking my CPU because it's too weak for modern games like Battlefield 1 or 5.
I followed many tutorials but always with same result.

There are some of them:

#1 Scenario

Settings: All stock, Just set multiplier to x40
Result: BSOD (whea uncorrectable error) after hour or two in CS:GO/BF1

#2 Scenario

Settings: CPU Ratio x42 (Dynamic), Ring Ratio x41, Cpu Core Voltage 1.2 (Adaptive), Ring Voltage 1.175 (Adaptive), Intel Eff. Man. Disabled
Result: BSOD (whea uncorrectable error / machine check exception) at boot or 10 secs after booting

#3 Scenario

Settings: CPU Ratio x42 (Dynamic), Ring Ratio x41, Cpu Core Voltage 1.3 (Adaptive), Ring Voltage 1.275 (Adaptive), Intel Eff. Man. Disabled
Result: BSOD (whea uncorrectable error) after few hours in windows/games

I don't know anymore, is my CPU so bad? Everyone is getting at least stable 4.2GHz and I'm there with 3.8GHz max on any settings

My temps are 35C idle and max 60C after few hours in battlefield 1

Please help me solving this issue or just tell me to save for new PC :D
Thanks in advance
