Hello,

I'm having some issue with my internet connection.

I have a wired ethernet connection from my router to my PC.

I'm currently paying for the 600Mbps down package from my ISP.

When all is running smoothly I will generally have a 450Mbps download speed per speedtest results, however every 6 hours or so my internet connection drops to 1-10 Mbps and stays that way until I reset my router then the speeds return to normal.

Does anyone know what could be causing this? Although it's not too much trouble is still quite annoying having to reset my internet a few times per day.

Thanks

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

ISP?

Make and model router?

How many other network devices?

Run "ipconfig /all" (without quotes) via the Command Prompt. Post the results.

Use Task Manager and Resource Monitor to observe system performance prior to and at that "6 hour" mark. What changes at 6 hours?

More information needed.

I have had this exact same issue for as long as I can remember, speed usually 400mbps and goes down to around 5mbps for what seems to be the rest of the day.
I have attempted to resolve this in the past with no luck. Some internet providers limit speeds during peak hours, and that is what I think is causing it.

Although there are contradictions to that, like when I perform the same test on my phone, the speed is significantly higher (50mbps always)
This problem has also persisted since moving property and using a different internet provider.

If you find out what is causing this issue please let me know. But to be honest, I don't think you ever will unfortunately.
