We got this laptop during the covid, it is brand new however I noticed in hwinfo battery wear level is up to %11.7 already. This occurs only when laptop turned off and recharging from the wall. Is this normal? Software says battery and the adapter is ok.

Thank you, danny

Any updates on this matter if you guys don't mind my asking, it is a asus laptop rog g15 (2022) Really like to use it without power cable I mean it is the point of owning a laptop in the first place however wear of battery worrying.

Wear increases a bit (sometimes) when recharging the battery from the wall, I'm using an extension cable, perhaps that is the reason? I tested both max lifespan mode and asus default battery health modes, did not changed anything.

charging battery will get wearout. keep it off will save it
Okay I got that more than 3 years old battery, but I really did not used this laptop at all, just some weekend gaming in 30fps low to mid in game settings, most of the time laptop was turned off and didn't notice any insanely high temps on any hardware, CPU/GPU stays under 65c and storage plus RAM is always around 55c. I did read high temps to cause also wearout the battery so this isn't my case then.

Is there a somekind website where I can make up the battery lifespan? Like MSI power supply voltage calculator,

you can monitor it. no calculator that I know of as there are too many factor.

I did battery report thing from that link on CMD, however report doesn't say anything related to health status, just some technical details, I'm probably missing something though. CYCLE part of the report was - no text if that matters. Battery capacities seems filled to capacity and I didn't see any noticable text on "Battery life estimated on drains" two part of red line without application name.

I mark your reply as answer regardless since report thing I didn't even know it's existed before. Thanks, will continue to monitor on HWinfo though most likely I'I keep using my laptop plugged in.

Hey! I noticed this behaviour since last time I was here.

Charge from %80'ish to %100 takes long time for some reason = wear increased from %11.2 to %11.7
Charge from %60'ish to %80 (balanced charging plan) takes faster time = wear increased from %11.7 to %11.8

Laptop recharged right after the use in both when it's turned off (fast startup disabled from control panel)

Any ideas? Is this normal?
