I have a laptop and currently installed a new windows 11 and removed the windows which came preinstalled with laptop. When i played games on old windows it automatically switches to integrated graphics card and caps FPS to 30 when unplugged but in new windows it does not switch I get same 120FPS even if it is unplugged.

What GPU is it?

You may need to go into the graphics cards software (The Nvidia driver software or whatever AMD calls theirs now) and see if theres an option for Dedicated only, which it may be set to.

For nVidia, its Optimus, make sure thats enabled and not set to Dedicated only. Not sure what exactly its called for Radeon GPUs.

Sounds like power settings aren't allowing it to drop down to integrated graphics when unplugged. Check your power settings in control panel, and see if it's set on power saving, balanced, or performance. If it's set to performance, it will always use the dedicated graphics.
