my laptop ha WiFi connection but internet not working

My laptop is connected to the internet but I can't go on any of my browsers they just remain blank I can't even access the store the only way for me to use the internet is for me to use Internet explorer this problem occurrd after upgrading to windows 8.1 Pro build 9600

Than it is not really working.

Try rebooting your laptop, modem and router.

Uninstall and reinstall your wifi driver.

Update firmware for router.

Bypass the issue with USB wifi adapter.
