I've got a Dell G15 Laptop with:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 6000
GPU: RTX 3050
I’ve had it for like three years but I never got the chance to really use it until recently and for some dumb reason games don’t work on it. I’ve updated everything that needs to be updated (drivers, OS, direct X, Geforce) and it still doesn’t run.
Now the interesting part about this is Apex Legends, it is the only game I’ve noticed that works but only when it’s not connected to a power source, of course the game lowers the graphical settings when I play until the battery reaches a critical percentage (like 7%, I know I know super unhealthy) and I have to plug it in and then something interesting happens.
After I plug it in, the graphics change and it seems to play the way it’s meant to be played. I keep playing till it crosses the 20% mark by which the game freezes and crashes and won’t run again until I decide to play it once again unplugged. Now I’m far from an expert here but I’m pretty sure the graphics card isn’t busted because the computers still very much relatively new. At this point I’m just frustrated cuz I keep letting my hopes up on the damn thing and idk what to do.
