My laptop has slowed to a crawl. What do I Do?

I have recently gotten a new ASUS laptop. It has slowed horribly for the past few days. It worked perfectly one day, and slowed randomly the next. The thing is only two weeks old and I have already tried a full scan and restart of the computer. I don't know what's wrong. Please help.

I would suggest you to first try Defragging Your Hard Drive.

If that doesn't help, you may want to use any efficient free or paid disk cleanup utility such as CCleaner, Ashampoo WinOptimizer, or TuneUp Utilities.

FYI
The performance of an operating system decreases gradually due to regular installation and uninstallation of programs, and saving and deleting files. The optimization utilities ensure that no junk or orphan entries are there in the Windows registry or any other area of the hard drive.
