I was trying to recover data from my old Toshiba laptop HDD with a "sata to usb3.0" cable. While doing this accidentally I have unplugged my HDD and the data become raw. To solve this problem I have downloaded "Partion recovery 15.0" and I have clicked on last chance option to recover my data. Then the program stop responding at %2 and I have force the program to shutdown.

Now when I plugged the hdd it starts spinning but there is no sound after I plugged usb also the HDD doesn't show up in device manager or in computer. I have checked for a stucked actuator head but it wasn't stucked and the actuator seems to be not working.

I don't have any other idea to solve my problem can anyone help me please?

Solution
Try the disk directly on a computer SATA port, without the adapter. If that does not work, you will need some outside help from a data recovery service to work on the drive.
