My laptop is lenovo L410 with core2duo and DDR3 Ram installed, would i be able to upgrade it to core i3 or not? I also checked Lenovo L410 is available in core i3 also as searched it on different websites so do they have the same motherboard or is that totally different?

Solution
The L410 was offered with two i3 versions, but they are not compatible with socket P. I do not believe that any i3 cpus are compatible with socket P. i'm sorry to tell you. You need to upgrade motherboard first, and ram likely, then get i3.

Solution
core2duo 2.10 ghz and its not soldered.
I already have DDR3 RAM installed in it.
Also if i need to upgrade the Motherboard which one i need to go for?

You might have a difficult time finding a board that will fit precisely into your L410 case. Maybe search for L410 replacement boards that already have the i3 cpu installed. In any event, the chipset you are looking for is Intel HM55. The socket type will be G1. Before purchasing, make sure the board will fit (dimension specifications) into your laptop.

And screw holes 😉
