So recently my laptop was always running really hot when playing games. I used to get about 70-80 degrees celcius.

Then I decided to clean and change my laptop fan. I always clean my laptop fan by myself, but now I changed the fan to 4000 rpm fan which is faster. But then after like 2 weeks my laptop keeps getting 60-70 degree celcius when Idle and it reaches 80-88 degree celcius when playing heavy games. I don't know why my laptot's temp is so hot. should I change fan again???

i was having heating issues on my kids gaming laptop. i took it apart and re-pasted the cpu and gpu with Arctic Cooling Mx-4 and it improved by almost 20 degrees. Its an Msi, so i didint have to take the whole thing apart to do so, the msi heatsink and fan are on the bottom

if you are not comfortable taking apart your laptop and doing it yourself, im sure your local computer shop will do it for you and charge about an hour labor. If you do it yourself, a tube of high quality thermal paste is under $10. google how to take apart your make and model of laptop to see how difficult it is to do yourself and decide from there.

like i said, mine improved by 20 degrees, i would if i were you

I used to take apart my laptop. But now the question is where should Iapply the paste?? My gpu can't be opened since it is a laptop. And my processors are under my heatsink. Should I apply it on my heatsink and the graphic card cover??
