I own a Logitech c270. Today, when i opened Skype to start a video call, I was greeted by a completely black screen. The person on the other end could hear my voice and I could hear and see that person as well. The green light indicator on the webcam also glowed but the person on the other end could see only a black screen and not me.
I also opened the Windows Camera app and the same problem persisted, When I recorded a video and played it, I could hear the sounds that I had made while recording the video but there was no picture; only a black screen.
I reinstalled the webcam drivers several times, restarted my PC several times and even connected the webcam to a number of USB ports, but to no avail. As I was searching the internet, i came across various articles that said that the Windows Anniversary update was responsible for this problem.
If this is true, is there any way to solve it ? [As i dont even know if i have Windows Anniversary update installed in my PC]

Here is a link to check whether you have windows 10 anniversary update installed:

Here is a link showing how to uninstall the update:

Also, once in the settings window, under update & security, you can go to updates and somewhere you'll find an option to uninstall updates (I think its through the uninstall updates selection). I'm not sure which update is the anniversary one so you will need to google the KB code in the list of updates in the un-installion window. If your webcam was working fine one day and not the next it could be something as simple as a windows update that's caused this technical glitch as these things happen. It's happened to me a few times. I would suggest trying the webcam on another system - this will determine if your PC is the problem or its the actual webcam.

Hope this helps, I'm no expert but that's the steps I would take.
