My main monitor is usually 1920x1080, but now locked at 720x576?

My computer has restarted and now I can see that my main monitor is at 720 x 576 resolution setting instead of the usual high-quality 1920 x 1080 display. In the control panel, usually I can choose from the highest (3200 x 1800) to the lowest (1024 x 768 3D), which are the options for my second monitor, but the resolution options are now 720 x 576 to 640 x 480. I'm pretty sure I haven't done anything to my monitor to trigger this, but it happens anyway. Is there a way to make it let me choose 1920 x 1080 again?

Firstly, what are your PC specs just so that we know what we are working with?

Have you checked to see that the PC did not restart in safe mode perhaps? You can also try either updating or rolling back your current driver. Also make sure you have the right driver installed.

By specs, you mean these?
Intel Core i5-3570 (4 of these)
16 GB RAM
64bit Operating System
(msi) AMD Radeon R9-390


My PC did not restart in safe mode, no. I haven't updated my drivers yet, but this current version hasn't had this issue before.

Try updating your drivers and check if the issue still persists. You can always roll back whenever you want.
