I was doing some karaoke with my friend, I started screaming instead of singing. Now my microphone is too quiet and my friend barely hears me. I had this issue 2 months ago and it got fixed by itself in a couple of days.

I had this issue for about an hour or two now and I really want fix it. There might be some spit in my microphone, but I honestly don't think so. My microphone is so quiet that nobody even notices that I speak. It's even worse then an hour ago.

Woa... It's been awhile. I seem to remember that if you double-click the sound icon in the system tray it will bring up the audio mixer. There, you will see "Options" and when clicked, then choose "Properties"

A new little window will show up with a drop-down box. There, choose your sound card Input.
A list of possible inputs shows up for recording. One of them will be the mic. Make sure it is checked.
After you click "OK," the sliders will be adjustable for the various input devices. The Mic may have a check-box for a 20db boost, if it is there, check it, if not, make sure that slider is up, maybe all the way to give the mic the most volume possible.

This is all can remember, so good luck.
