My new motherboard I recently purchased has no display port, my mistake as I thought it did. However, my graphics card (GTX 1070) has got a display port.
My query is will it work to connect my monitor via display port to my gpu's display port? Even though my motherboard isn't equipped with a display port?
Bit of a dilemma so really want answers!

Well seeing as connecting your monitor to your GPU is the only way to use the GPU, that's a definitive yes.
You do know that you are supposed to connect your monitor to your graphics card in order to use it, right? Right?
