Ok my pc build is composed of these components
Motherboard GA-970A-D3
2 Harddrives: I have a segate Barracuda 750GB
7200RPM SATA 3GB/S 16MB Cache Hard Drive

I also have a segate 80gb Barracuda 7200.10 harddrive installed
I have 3 ram sticks one is brand new, all of them are samsung brands
2 of them are 1gb sticks
and one is a 8gb stick i bought off ebay
its 8gb PC3L-10600R DDR3 DIMM Server Registered RAM PC Memory they said it was pulled out of a working dell
the processor is AMD ATHLON(TM) II 170u Processor, 2000 Mhz, 1 Core(s), 1 Logical PRocessor(s)
Graphics Card MSI AMD Radeon HD 7770 1GB GDDR5 DVI/HDMI/DisplayPort PCI-Express Video Card R7770-PMD1GD5

And I just updated the bios to the most recent version.
Should i just return 8gb stick. The 2 1gb samsung sticks work fine.

Solution
Return it.

The motherboard requires non-ECC and unbuffered memory. In short, desktop memory.

also you will most likely run into issue by mixing RAM. better get a memory kit of 8GB (2x 4GB) and don't use the current memory.
