My Power Color Radeon 7870 Is not showing up on my motherboard. It turns on and the fan runs and everything, but it doesn't show up on display adapter. I had to remove it from the system to get it to start. I upgraded my flash bios for my motherboard but still it won't show up. I've also tried to remove the CMOS ,but that didn't work either. Then I decided to try to use the BIOS setup to change my video card ,but there was literally no setting to switch the output device to the video card. Next I tried inserting the video card while I was using windows 8 ,but it wouldn't show up the video card in the device manager. I have both powers supply pongs plugged into the gpu. I think its just the motherboard ,because many people have problems trying to install a GPU on this motherboard. After several unsuccessful attempt I tried to install the software to the gpu I'm using and it just displays an error message and shuts down since I don't have the video card in my computer. Finally that gave me another brilliant Idea to try to plug the videocard in right before I installed the software but that didn't work. Besides that I've tried plugging the hdmi into my Gpu. Yes I've tried ALL OF THE PORTS ON THE BACK OF THE CASE OF THE PC INCLUDING THE ONES THAT WERE ON THE VIDEO CARD!!!!!!! My power supply is more than enough to handle the gpu. Any suggestions at all?
My cpu fx 6300.
My motherboard is A960 M.
MY gpu Power color Radeon 787
Also I know I SHOULD HAVE GOT A BETTER MOTHERBOARD!
I've also hooked up a computer before except I had some help from a friend.
Btw I used the computer to type this and the speaker was missing a wire when the motherboard came in the box.
