My mouse stops working

Hello all I need your assistance with something when my computer is sitting for awhile my mouse stops working I can move the pointer anywhere but it doesn't highlight anything and none of the buttons work and if I pushed all the buttons multiple times my computer starts making a beeping noise everytime I push a button on the mouse but the computer is still operating normally I can access everything through the keyboard this is kind of driving me nuts I don't know what's going on any help would be appreciated thanks and when I restart my computer the mouse works normally but eventually it will do the same thing

Try plugging your mouse into someone else's computer and see what it does.

If it works: in the other: computer, try reinstalling the mouse drivers on your computer.

If it doesn't work:in the other computer, the mouse is probably faulty.

Have you tried plugging it into a different USB slot?
If not, try that.

Maybe some software is interfering with it, so try this:
Press Windows + R
Type: msconfig
Press enter
Go to Startup
Remove everything
See if that works.

Yes I tried another computer it seems to work fine I also tried multiple USB ports but does the same thing the only thing that is different on my computer is that I updated to the new Nvidia game ready drivers last night that's when It started doing it but I also rolled back drivers to see if that would fix it but it didn't

I tried to run msconfig but it doesn't seem to want to start up I'm running Windows 10

It will still work on W10.

Open up start, type: run
Open run, then type: msconfig

Hopefully when you stop the applications from running it'll stop conflicting with your mouse.
It sounds like the Nvidia thing is interfering.
Try uninstalling that and seeing how your mouse reacts.

Yeah I couldn't even get a msconfig to open up I don't know what it was other things started acting up so I just reformatted my computer thanks for your help anyways everything's working fine again
