Ok i just finished building my first computer. i used

intel core i5 4570
Asus Radeon R9 280x
MSI h97 pc mate mobo
16 gigs ram (2x8gb) 1600mhz
128 gb ssd With windows 7 premium 64 bit
1 TB HDD
750w psu

Im curious what you all think about this setup. will i run into any problems with any particular part. it's mainly a gaming rig. i want to run most games on high.

im starting to second guess myself on going with windows 7. not sure if it will be a problem

any help would be greatly appreciated.

You are in OK shape. I changed the MB to an ASRock offering and MEM to 8GB. ...also filled in the blanks on other part manufacturers.

I went with 750w psu because that's what it said on the GPU box. i didn't want to do anything to void the warrenty.
it's a Solid Gear Neutron Series 750 Watt PS2 ATX.

That mostly looks OK, a few questions though.

What is the exact PSU, there are a million and one 750w power supplies, some of them are amazing and some of them have quite literally blown up.
Did you put any thought into buying that motherboard, because quickly googling it I see precisely 0 reviews for it. The only one I could find was the Z87 version of it, which didn't have the greatest rating in the world, the motherboard is arguably the most important part of your PC so it is a good idea to do some research before choosing one. The one that I have is the Asrock Z87 Extreme 3, while it isn't the best board in the world, it is a very good board for the price and has pretty good reviews, if you can still return the board and have an extra £20 to spend i would recommend swapping it out.

on the mother board I was going to go with the Gigabyte GA-H81M-S2PH. but I got everything at fry's and they didn't have that one. so me being impatient asked what they would have that would be equivalent and he pointed that one out to me. I have always heard good things about MSI and it is the military grade board so I went with it. so far it is great I haven't had any problems with it.

OK then, fair enough. I have actually heard a lot of bad things about MSI boards.
