Question My new pcs ethernet address

hi guys just built new system ryzen 5 5600x, motherboard gig b550 x v2, 32 gig ddr4 and two geforce gtx 1060x3gb, its working great, exept for my ethernet, i supposed to be getting 6g, but its doing something wierd, when i look at the address it ahoul be just VM9357825, but its VM9357825_EXT and im only getting 1g in speed, ive looked for a wi fi connecttion on the pc but its not tnere, what am i doing wrong, or is that just normal, i do have a long ext from my router downstairs, so im not expecttong mega speed, its just the _EXT at the end, it wasnt like like before i rebuilt it was just normal ethernet name without _EXT at the end.

The_EXT on the end is normally for WiFi Extender

yeah but i havnt got an extender attached, ive got an ethernet cable and its showing as ethernet bottom right, ive serched the pc to find an internal wi fi, but no luck, i do have an extender in the hall and it does have an extension called that, but how do i delete it and connectect to main connecttion for the 6g speed, i dont know why its calling itself that when i unplug the ethernet cable it disconnects from internet, so theres no wi fi on motherboard, so why is it calling itself that ???

It's probably the ethernet cable. Could be damaged. Do you have another? And is it a cat 5 or 6 cable?

Also disconnect the extender totally and see if speed improves ??
