my packard bell z5wt3 is on but the screen is black. it does not want to switch off either. help please

i have tried ctr + alt + del but nothing happens. i have also tried switching it off but it does not want to switch off. the power light is still on but the screen is black. im not sure what to do as my laptop is still brand new

I hope you have asked customer support before posting on this thread. I would not want to suggest anything to you that could void your warranty They problably know more about their product then most people.

If the lights are on when you try to turn it off, you did not hold in the power button long enough. Hold it in for 5 seconds or so, it should power down. If you still get a black screen when you turn it on again, contact Packard Bell support, especially for a new one.
