So, I have had this pc for about a 2 years now, a little over one year ago I upgraded all the components except the psu because they were then 7 years old.
The current specs are:
MSI B350 TOMAHAWK motherboard
Ryzen 3 1300x cpu
Gainward GTX 1050 2gb
2x 4 GB Ballistix 2400mhz ddr4 ram
Corsair CX550 psu
now to the problem
I have run my pc in overclock for a couple months now
boosted the cpu from 3.5 to 3.8 ghz
boosted ram from 2400 to 2667mhz
I also ran the gpu in OC Mode in ASUS GPU Tweak ll
it has all run very good and i have benchmarked and the temps are good
But just yesterday when I was browsing youtube, my monitor went completely black. So I tried restarting the pc but it didnt change a thing, but then the screen started flickering and it shows input somtimes but the screen is all red-dotty. I managed to de-overclock it but it didnt change a thing. I also swapped graphics card and put in an an older one that i knew was working but its still the same.
the computer powers on now, but it takes longer than usual and the screen is sometimes giving me image and sometimes not, and when it does its all red-dotty as i said.
Does anyone know wat component causes this problem or what has happened?
