Couple of days ago i had some problems with my internet and i called my cable company to fix it.
Next day worker came, but my connection was ok.He still decided to check if something was wrong. He said that my modem was faulty ( i had modem and router in one ), so he switched it with another modem and router (this time they were separate ). I should mention that i have 2 PCs in my house. He installed everything on my brother PC and said my pc should be ok too. Since then i couldnt log on internet for 5 days. My brother PC can connect without problems, our cellphones can connect without problems. My PC cant. I have 2 ethernet ports, both marvell yukon 88E8055.When i plug ethernet cord into either of them there is blue loading circle for like minute and then yellow exclamation mark afterwards. I cant even change my public network to private.
Here are thing i tryed:
I reinstalled windows 7
i updated driver like 20 times
i did power cycle of router modem and computer
i tried turning everything off for hours
i disabled internet protocol 6
i fiddled with advanced configuration ( like flow control, checksums etc)
i uncheked turn off device to save the power
i fiddled with services
i cheked cables ( they work fine with my brothers PC )
reseted the bios by removing battery for 5 minutes

Here are my basic specs:

So far whenever i had any problem with my pc i menaged to fix it by browsing the forums and internet ,but this time nothing seems to work and im getting increasingly frustrated. Any help would be much appreciated. Sorry for my misspelling ( english is not my native )
Thanks in advance.

I should add that my modem is cisco MODEL NUMBER EPC3208 and my router is Tp-link model number TL-WR740N
And also worth mentioning is that my mac adfress is 00:00:00:00:00:00

Not sure why you have two ethernet cards installed....

Anyway, for now, remove one of them.

Restart your computer and reconfigure the remaining ethernet adapter for your network.

Your ipconfig indicates that Windows cannot find an IP address and there is no gateway listed per Ethernet adapter Local Area Conection.

You must reconfigure your ethernet adapter to your router: E.g., 192.168.1.1 with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0. Note that 192.168.1.1 is one of the standard router IP addresses. Your router may be different....

Run "ipconfig /all" on your brother's PC and you should see the required settings. Make sure you adapter is also set to use DHCP assigned IP.

they cant be removed. Best i can do is to Uninstall driver from device menager but on next startup driver will reinstall itself.

i will try set mine to be same like his. Tell u in couple of minutes how it goes.

Okay.

You should be able to disable one of the ethernet cards.

Yes match your brother's settings with respect to Subnet Mask and Default Gateway (should be your router).

Your computer should receive an IPv4 address 192.168.0.xxx where xxx is probably very close to 100 and within the DHCP address range allocated to the router.

You must also match the network name, password, security, channels, etc. per your network settings.

Still nothing. I setup my connection in internet protocol 4 to be same like my brother i used DNS servers that my net company told me ( they were 77.78.192.10 and 8.8.8.8 ).Still no connection, here is my ipconfig now.

Still no MAC adress
Range of Ip adress is from 100-199 i tryed 101,102,103,122.Nothing seems to work.
Also cant change name of my network. i cant even change type of network . Its stuck on unidentified network public network

Double check that your ethernet adapter is set for DHCP and not using a static IP. The router (and only the router) should assign the PC an address and that address should not be the same as any other devices that have been assigned an IP address. Dynamic or static.

Your ipconfig shows your computer having the same IP as your brother's system.

(Note: Please use "ipconfig /all" as that will provide more information.)

Good news is that the Default Gateway and Subnet mask now match your router as should be expected.

While at the command prompt try pinging the router: Use ping 192.168.0.1

Should see four successful replies showing that the router is on the network.

Then, hopefully, once the ethernet card is set to obtain its IP from the router all should be well. Or at least further along....

they match my brother setup because i manually put them in.I also manually put ip ( i stated above that i tryed 100, 101, 102, 103,122 ). Nothing seems to work. HEre is my ipconfig after i put everything to be obtained automaticly

Your posting on 12/6 10:45 a.m. provides ipconfig for Ethernet Connector #2 - DNS settings etc. are pretty much what is expected.

The posting above (12/5 3:26 p.m. ) provides ipconfig for Ethernet Connector - DNS settings etc., are no longer correct. Specifically, the subnet mask and DNS Gateway.

You may have either configured the wrong card or forgot to apply your changes. Also make sure that the ethernet cable is plugged into the correct card.

In any case, it appears that you are getting closer to the required and correct configuration.

Take another try at reconfiguring the enabled ethernet card. Look at the settings and check for entry errors, incorrect selections and so forth.

I fixed it. Althought my network card was working properly apparently it wasnt compatible with my router. After i bought new network card problem automaticly resolved itself. Thanks for the help ralston. I appreciate it greatly.
