my pc hanging during gaming sessions

i7 6700

16gb ddr4 ram

psu 550w corsair

z170 mother board

so for a few years now my pc would bsod 5 mins into boot with whea_uncorrectable error. i found a small fix for this recently, it was to change the voltage setting in the bios from auto to manual. (i just set the voltage to the default manually anyway) but after this setting has been applied, during specific games, my pc does a hard hang and i have to restart via case. im desperate for answers, and its really pissing me off that i cant play my favourite games.

things i have tried.

upgrading psu and gpu (they are not the issue)
trying without a gpu and ram sticks one by one.

if someone does manage to find a fix thre might be some counter strike items with half decent value up to grabs 😉

I have seen ram to cause a variety of weird and random problems. if you have your ram overclocked or set to XMP, maybe try setting to default or run Memtest and see if you get any errors.

yeah i have tried with and without XMP and still happens either way. i have also tried only 1 stick at a time and both have the same result just less speed (obv) i think it is the cpu but i just want ot know if there is a fix out there for it.
