Also, when you receive it. DO NOT MIX it with the current memory.

Install only the new memory and make sure it works properly.

If no, then reset. I don't think it a wise use of our time to sort through any settings you have been trying. Start from default.

I managed to make them work, I am currently running with 24GB of RAM. However, I was not able to make the Corsair RAM work

Okay. As stated earlier, the Corsair memory likely has a lifetime warranty. Try exchanging for working memory.
