My pc is not detecting any wireless signal

Hello,
i recently bought a "linksys Wireless-G USB Adapter" but my pc doesn't detect any signal... My laptop is getting it, so it's not the router's problem. The funny thing is when I connect the pc via cable, it gets the signal and it works fine till i reboot the system.

Does the wireless adapter detect any wifi networks. Is your own within reasonable wireless range ?

Have you applied the correct wireless security type and password to the wireless adapter user interface (or to Windows networking)
