Question My PC is not performing as I expect it to ?

Hey ! I'm new here and I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post but:

I currently produce music on my desktop with FL Studio. My specs are:

• Mbox 2 Mini (buffer size usually around 1024) [Sidenote: whenever I switch to sample rate 48000, my speakers make a constant weird noise ?]
• AMD FX(tm)-6300 Six-Core Processor 3.50 GHz
• 24 GB RAM
• NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti

Any idea why I'm getting clicking and popping after opening a few plugins ?

I expect it to perform a little better than it is currently.
