After the KB4056892 Windows 10 update of 03/10/18 (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4056892/windows-10-update-kb4056892), my laptop's perfomance got significantly slower, particullary in gaming. Now, when I start a game, my fps progressively starts to go down, until the situation renders the game unplayble. Similar effect is seem in the general PC performance as well, but not as critical.

Until now, I have run Windows Update Troubleshooting and checked my gpu (Intel HD Graphics 4000 and NVIDIA GeForce GT 630M) and cpu (Intel i7-3630QM 2.40 GHz) drivers in hope of fixing the problem, but none of those worked. I'm totally up with undoing this windows update if necessarly - and if possible.

I'd immensely appreciate your help. I made this account as my last straw of expectation of fixing this; I spent all day searching for a solution.

Solution
you can always rollback the update

most windows updates are resolvable by reinstalling either your chipset/sound/video drivers from your motherboards/video/device websites. a BIOS update maybe necessary. you can also visit their forums to find particular cases related to your problem.
