Hi was using a corsair CX750w for 2 years then i start having power issues where it just loses power no errors or nothing simply lights out.... i have been told that this CX series has a bad reputation so i thought ok its faulty i'll buy another one even a google search suggests its a psu problem many many links all say power supply is to blame.

Now i have a new power supply a EVGA Supernova G2 750w and still its losing power just the same lights out no errors!

How can both psu's be faulty? this just doesn't seem possible it must be something else? but what? GOOGLE is not helping it's just frustrating me it can't be a faulty psu, how many PSU's do i need to buy before finding the solution? i can't afford this game i'm not made of money.

One thing i've found is i've been playing GTA 5 and elite dangerous it's not losing power in those games however if i play far cry 5 it loses power after 10 minutes i guess, it's just a total shutdown like a power cut there are no warnings there is no blue screen no strange noises it's just off and that is that....

Those are classic symptoms of overheating or psu protections kicking in. Check your temperatures.
Is this pc from your signature?

Yep you right its overheating ive just found something pretty nasty the cpu radiator was clogged with dust I figured this out because i noticed ac origins was making the cpu 80c thats abit odd for a water cooled system so I took the radiator apart and found all this dust.

im limited to what I can use I have no money right now I cleaned it best I could with a paint brush its still gaming at 69-70c however its no longer losing power. Im playing farcry 5 now with msi afterburner giving me the temp up on screen.

Yes thats my pc.

Use an air cooling solution. Water cooling has the ability to leak, get clogged with things, etc. If you used an air cooling solution, you would only have to occasionally clean dust out of the heatsink but you would not have any issues. Used air cooling for 8 years no problem. Used water cooling in my new gaming rig and it leaked within a year. I'm lucky it survived.
