I was playing Destiny 2 and 15-20mins in and my pc shut off, but when I play lighter games like league or genshin it doesn't turn off.

could it be that I would need a much stronger psu...i assumed that an 850 would be good enough.

I just recently upgraded my pc and here are the specs:

Lian li o11 Dynamic Razer edition
nzxt z73
9 lian li AL120 fans
24 pin lian li strimmer
3 8-pin strimmer powered by 3 singular 8 pin connector from the psu
RM850X corsair psu
3080ti evga ftw
970 samsung 500gb
500gb Western Digital ssd
2tb and 4tb seagate hhd
intel i7-12700k
32gb corsair vengeance pro 3200 cl16

what temperatures is your CPU reaching while in these games?

a good 850w is fine for the 3080 Ti.
but make sure you have not daisy-chained the PCIe power cables, they need to be individual from the PSU.

CPU is at most 44C
GPU was pulling about 1.2V while being 54C
