It started about a week ago. I didn't use my computer for a couple of weeks and worked fine then. However when I started my computer up today and tried to pull up YouTube, it instantly crash, same with steam and skype. I have Windows 10 and gave me that cool new blue screen and said that if I want to find out more I should search for this "Driver_IRQL_not_less_or_equal(e1i63x64.sys)" Since then I have spent about 5 hours trying to find the answer online. I have everything from updating all of my drivers to my BIOS to my Reinstalling WIN 10. I have no Idea and all of the other treads about this are not clear about how to fix this. I should also mention that I don't have a dual boot but a laptop which I can use to edit my SSD when the computer is off line. Also that I am writing this on the computer, so it works on some websites but seems to instantly crash on the opening of a YouTube video, Steam, Skype, and google chrome, Im not sure what else because this is a fresh install an has pretty much only windows on the SSD. Please any help would be gratefully appreciated.

any chance your motherboard ethernet adapter is disabled in BIOS?
your motherboard has a windows 8.1 64 bit intel ethernet driver package listed
https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/CROSSHAIR_V_FORMULAZ/HelpDesk_Download/

that one will not install?

when I installed windows 10 it did not recognize any of my 4 Intel cards, I just used another machine and downloaded the drivers to a thumb drive and installed them. I don't recall doing anything special. It was the first "public" build of windows 10, from there I just updated. Maybe they broke something but now I seem to have Microsoft versions of the drivers as well as the Intel versions of the drivers that I installed. I used the Intel version so I could team the drivers together for...

Yah, I did see this thread, thank you for the clarification. However I, even with my seconded computer, I am not sure how to edit the file. I actually tried this before, but it gave me something along the lines of you don't have permission to edit this file. Do you have any ideas about how I can fix this/get around it?
Thank you for all of the support.

could you not install the windows 8.1 drivers on windows 10? the installer worked on my windows 10 version build 10041

http://www.intel.com/support/network/sb/CS-006120.htm
I installed, and went to device manger, found the device, then selected the action menu-> update driver software
the new driver .inf showed up and I selected it.

guess you must just have a different card/driver. I have 4 intel ethernet adapters in my local machine. (2) i218-v and (2) i350-t2
but the setup program did work.

I tried to install the 8.1 but it just said that I didn't have any Intel network devices. How did you find the .inf and how do you have 4 ethernedt adaoter on your computer, I only have one and?
Thank you for the response

I used the Intel version so I could team the drivers together for higher bandwidth and various little projects when I am checking things out.

I do hope a new install of windows 10 will include these drivers by default. It was a surprise when they were not there for the first windows 10 install.

Solution

He didn't edit the file. He just re-named it.

I think till Windows 10 is fully released then these sort of problems and strange fixes will crop up.

The Windows 8 64 bit (21/10/2013) drivers from Asus' website for the Asus Crosshair V Formula Z work flawlessly.

Specifically "e1q63x64" from Intel_Gigabit_XPVistaWin7-8_VER181590_VER181610\Other_OS\PRO1000\Winx64\NDIS63

I have put the required files alone in a RAR so just go into Device Manager -> Right click on the Intel network adapter -> Update driver software -> Browse my computer... -> Let me pick... -> Have disk... -> and select the folder where you unpacked the files from my RAR,

Antivirus scan results -https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/d66caeb05f2d7b2ac644490314416f8ca545b03cb08dd0a14355289afddf0cce/analysis/

That should work without any issues.
