Hello everyone I need some help
About a week ago I purchased a new graphics card, power supply and fan for my gaming pc. It was all working well and good running games such as tekken 7 bioshock infinite and rust.
All of a sudden today my computer crashed while playing tekken, and upon restarting I got an error saying the asus power surge protection had been triggered thus restarting my pc. At this point my pc would continue to repeatedly turn on and off giving me the same error each time. I looked online and tried turning off asus power surge protection in bios (somewhat risky but I wanted to see if it worked) and yet my pc continued to rapidly restart every 10-15 seconds except without giving me the asus surge protection warning screen. I'm sure I wasn't actually experiencing any power surges as every other device in my house continued running as normal.
I tried reconnecting all the power pins from the power supply to all my components and it made no difference. I tried plugging into a different power outlet and it made no difference, I even swapped out my graphics card to a much less power hungry card (idk what this would do) and it made no difference.
I'm really lost at what I need to do at this point and I really need help, I think I may have a faulty power supply what do I do?
Intel i7 4770
Gtx 1060 6gb
EVGA nex650w power supply
Asus h87m - pro (motherboard)
If you need any other information to help me out pls ask
