My pc recently got much slower, Cpu?

Hello my computer has recently gotten much slower over time. About 6 months ago i bought a new gpu,cpu and all that good stuff but not cpu becuse i thought the one i had would do. And i t worked like a charm, But slowly started to get worse (i think) I get lower fps and windows and my desktop in much slower now so im guessing it's the cpu becuse it's over 2 years old, I have a AMD FX-Series FX-4100 3,6GHz and i would like someone to help before i buy a new cpu and spend money on the wrong thing

A factor would be a lot of process running on the background of your computer, check on your task manager and see if applications are eating up your ram which is likely to cause a slow pc. There may be dust inside your computer, try cleaning it with a can of compressed air. Look up "ccleaner" it helps a lot.

Check your hard drive because sometimes that is the problem.. Having a lot of files will really slow down your computer.
