As the title says, when I load Planetside 2 and pick my character, load into the map my pc restarts. I suspect it to be the PSU but I was wanting to make sure of it. As of today I have had to replace my GPU 2 times because it was not working as intended. First problem was fans not working and the second was my pc would not even start due to a short in the GPU. (I thought it was the PSU at first, leading to my hesitation of saying it's the PSU and not something else.)
When it restarts it comes back with this message telling me to run setup.
"Power supply surges detected during the previous power on. ASUS Anti-Surge was triggered to protect system from unstable power supply units."
Again, just to reiterate, I know it is "MOST LIKELY" the PSU. Just want to make sure it's not something else before I go and replace it.
Any advice would be great.
PC specs:
i7 4820k
16GB DDR3 Dominator Plat
EVGA GeForce 980 FTW edition
Corsair H100i CPU cooler
Cooler Master V850 PSU
ASUS ROG Rampage IV Black Edition
1(1TB) 1(2TB) HDD
1 (240GB) SSD
