Hello,
I got the parts for my PC, put it together and it worked great for the first 3-4 days, but today I turned it on and it didn't do anything! It flickered for split second and that was it. It does this every time I unplug it and plug it back and the same thing happens (turns on for split second and shouts down and it won't turn on again until I do the same thing), so I'm looking for help. Please, help.

hi there,

is it possible that you burned some Caps in your PSU ?
sometimes different configs tend to consume more energy and resulting in slow or even faster decay of components. Here maybe 4 days !
can you try another PSU ?

let us know if that helped.
Cheers, Louise.

I bought PSU with 850W and it is rated 80Gold, and I was hoping that it woud be enough, my system is Intel core I7 6700k, Asus ROG Strix RX480 8GB, WD Black 2TB, Msi Z170 Krait Gaming X3, Water cooling Corsair H110i, and 16GB G.Skill.

maybe try to install another PSU to test it ?
it could be that you're going over the 850W ? or not enough cooling (some caps can go untill 95°C others 115°C.
Running 4days on the edge of the limit is enough to break the PSU.
Also those rates (850W is usually a peak-powerperformance, not for continuous use).

Also if this is not the case, try to remove components (RAM, GPU etc.) and boot the PC.
So try this component by component (example: don't remove all the RAM just use a minimum to test) !
Maybe you'll get a result.

Did you put enough Thermal Paste ? has it dried out with bubbles ? try reapplying new paste ?

Let me know about any results,
Cheers, Louise.

Umm... I tried it, I removed one of the two Ram sticks and the GPU. Also I haven't used it that much, I completed it 2days ago and I used it for 4h and that was it. I turned it off last night and today it has this problem. The GPU and MB LED are on, but it wont turn on. By the way I just unplugged all the cables and plugged them back and somehow it turned on, I turned it down so I can get it back to my desk, but when I tried again to turn it on guess what happened...... 🙁

hi,
sorry to hear that, is there a 2-digit Error display on the Motherboard ? it goes from 00 to 99 and where it stops usually this number can help with finding faulths in the process ! just Google this error-number trough your mobo-type.

if it's a bad connection... powersupply is the most evident, but then the Error message will not appear.
in this case remove all connections and put them back. (or replace the PSU).

Just let us know what's the result.
Cheers, Louise.
