My PC Upgrade, I Seek assistence

Hello,

I once bought a PC on Marktplaats (Dutch Craigslist) It was sold to me for 280 Euros. The system contained the following specs: i5 2400 @3.1ghz / r7 270x / 500gb HDD/ 500WATT PSU/ Sharkoon VS4-S/ B75MA-P45/ And default case fans
I recently upgraded from a r7 270x to an R9 290 , now i want a new CPU, But they're quite expensive unfortunately. My GPU is really hot, around 47 Degrees Celsuis whilst the GPU fan is at 20% while there are no games playing. I was wondering; Should i buy a new Motherboard/CPU set and Buy a New case with better airflow, or should i buy a 120mm air intake fan for the front of my Case (vs4-s) and then buy an R9 290 aftermarket? please let me know your thoughts, Greetings Sam

47C is not particularly warm.
An i7-2600/2700 would give you 4Cores and 8Threads, and maybe a bit more clockspeed.
A fan sucking air in at the front, and one at the back sucking it out would be normal and a good idea in general.
Precisely what is the PSU.
