My PC won’t boot

So I was playing Hearthstone and listening to some music on iTunes. After my game ended I got up for a break and to grab some food from the kitchen. Once I got back in the room I had a black screen I tried moving the mouse thinking my PC is asleep but nothing. I restarted it and all the fans start running, the lights are on but the monitor doesn’t get anything on and there is no beep sound at all. I tried cleaning the fans, checking the CPU, the video card, messing around with the cables including the power button cables but nothing. I don’t know what to do so I need your help.

step 17 is there a speaker connected to the front panel? if not get one connected.

canned diagnostic speaker rant
The diagnostic speaker is the motherboards main diag feedback device.
the motherboard may be telling you where the problem is.
my speakers have this plug

I use lamp wire but any stranded wire will do. literally any stranded wires. strip one end like so

attach the stripped end into the speaker spring clips on the speaker.
the other end of the wire should be trimmed like so the semi strip...
My first thoughts go to the power supply as the cause. If I had a spare I'd swap it in.

Other things you can try...shut down, unplug, go through everything and re-seat everything ...all cards cables etc. If you want...you can reseat the processor. I'd wait on that until you see if reseating everything else works.

...but I'm still thinking good chance it's the PSU.

I would be measuring voltages on that.

I opened the PSU to clear it aswell but nothing happened. Now I will try unplugging and reseating but trying another PSU will be possible tommorow in best case scenario. As for the volt measuring I don’t have the device so I guess I will have to borrow from someone

Welp I did a lot of tests including reseating but still nothing. I guess it is either the voltage or it might be the 2032 battery since the PC is quite old and I have no clue what other problem there might be

by doing a semi strip the wire case is now the socket.
plug one wire to the first pin, and the second onto the fourth pin.
power on the system and listen for beeps
end canned rant

now there is a speaker boot the system and listen for beeps. if you are getting no beeps, try forcing one. power off the system and remove all the RAM. Boot the system, the speaker should beep like an astro-droid*. if you cannot force a beep code in this manner it has been my experience that the motherboard is toast

I see you. So how exactly can I see if it’s the motherboard? Any tips for a noob like me
